Vehicle Movement Supervisor

Responsible for planning and supervising fleet movement operations, directing drivers, organizing schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures during material transport, in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure operations run efficiently and according to schedule.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or vocational diploma (preferably in mechanics or automotive) with extensive practical experience.

• 3-5 years of practical experience in the field of land transport, preferably with oil or petroleum product transport companies or heavy logistics services.

• Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of vehicle tracking systems (GPS), safety procedures for transporting hazardous materials, traffic and ministry regulations, and familiarity with the basics of heavy truck maintenance.

• Administrative Skills: Ability to manage a team of drivers, effectively delegate tasks, solve problems quickly, and possess strong communication and coordination skills with various departments and entities.

• Excellent communication skills to manage and direct the driver team and coordinate with different departments.

• Good knowledge of road geography in Syria and the locations of ports, refineries, and vital centers.

• Ability to make quick decisions and resolve urgent field problems (congestion, route disruptions, etc.).

• Analytical skills to monitor fuel consumption rates and trip efficiency. Problem-solving and decision-making skills in cases related to claims or discrepancies.

• Planning and Organizing Transportation Operations: Establishing daily schedules for tanker movements based on loading and unloading plans at various sites and refineries, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal waiting time.

• Directing and Supervising Drivers: Directing drivers to loading and unloading locations and ensuring their adherence to schedules, traffic laws, and safety procedures at all times.

• Monitoring Loading and Unloading Procedures and Ensuring Safe and Proper Operations.

• Fuel Consumption Control: Overseeing the issuance of fuel disbursement permits for tankers, reconciling them with movement reports and distances traveled, and settling accounts with the Finance Department.

• Licensing and Renewal: Responsible for following up on the renewal of annual tanker operating licenses from the Traffic Department, periodic approvals from the Ministry of Transport, and petroleum product transport licenses from relevant authorities.

• Maintenance Coordination: Coordinating with maintenance workshops to conduct periodic inspections and urgent repairs of tankers to ensure their operational readiness and prevent breakdowns during transport. • Accident and Emergency Handling: Follow up on and finalize procedures for traffic accidents involving tankers, coordinate with the Finance and Legal Department to settle claims, and report any emergencies immediately.

• Transport Monitoring: Track tanker movements via GPS, monitor their speed, and ensure drivers adhere to designated routes and safe driving instructions for transporting hazardous materials.

• Document and Permit Management: Responsible for managing and documenting all movement documents and approvals required for transporting materials, and preparing accident files and customs procedures when necessary.

• Reporting: Prepare periodic reports for the relevant department on the implementation of transport plans, identify any challenges or obstacles, and submit recommendations for performance improvement.
