Accountant
The accountant is responsible for recording and monitoring the financial and accounting operations of the company in the Hama region, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and entries, and monitoring revenues, expenses, advances, and receivables, in order to ensure compliance with approved financial policies and procedures and to support management with accurate and timely financial information and reports.
Required Qualifications:
University degree in Accounting, Finance and Banking, or Business Administration – Accounting specialization.
Two to five years of practical experience in accounting is preferred.
Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or multi-sector companies is preferred.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and financial procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Experience with accounting systems or ERP systems such as Odoo or similar accounting software is preferred.

1. Daily Accounting Operations
Accurately and systematically record and post daily accounting entries.
Audit financial documents and ensure their completeness and accuracy before recording them.
Follow up on invoices, disbursement orders, receipts and payments, and supporting documents for financial transactions.
Organize and archive financial documents and records in both hard copy and electronic formats.
2. Monitoring Operating Expenses and Costs
Monitor and record operating expenses related to transportation and logistics activities.
Monitor fuel, maintenance, repair, spare parts, and expenses related to vehicle and fleet operations.
Review expenses and ensure their compliance with approved financial policies and regulations.
Contribute to cost analysis and identify discrepancies or unusual expenses.
3. Cash, Banks, and Advances
Monitor cash flow and perform periodic reconciliations.
Prepare and review receipts and disbursement vouchers.
Monitor advances and financial advances for employees, drivers, and related parties.
Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on any discrepancies. 4. Accounts and Reconciliations
Monitoring the balances of customers, suppliers, and other entities dealing with the company.
Performing periodic account reconciliations and identifying and addressing discrepancies.
Monitoring accounts receivable, accounts payable, and outstanding financial obligations.
Coordinating with relevant departments to complete documentation or resolve any financial discrepancies.
5. Reporting and Financial Control
Preparing periodic financial reports for the branch and submitting them to the Finance Department.
Contributing to the preparation of revenue, expense, and operating cost reports.
Assisting in preparing the data required by management for financial and operational decision-making.
Adhering to internal control procedures and contributing to the protection of company assets and the reduction of errors and financial waste.
6. Coordination and Follow-up
Ongoing coordination with the Operations, Vehicle Movement, Maintenance, and Warehouse departments regarding operations with financial implications.
Following up on financial documents resulting from transportation, trips, and services provided.
Cooperating with the Central Finance Department and implementing approved accounting instructions and policies.
Performing any other financial or accounting tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
