Rail and railway transport specialist

Providing strategic technical and administrative support for the development of the railway transport sector, through integrated planning, project evaluation and study of regulatory frameworks, with the aim of building modern and sustainable railway networks based on effective operational and investment models and keeping pace with the latest global technologies.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Previous experience collaborating with government entities, operating companies, consulting firms, or international organizations in the rail transport sector is preferred.

• Fluency in Arabic is required; English proficiency is an asset.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee data and sensitive information.

• Strategic thinking and long-term planning skills.

• Ability to analyze operational and technical realities and identify development opportunities.

• Comprehensive understanding of transport chains and the integration of rail transport with other modes of transport.

• Overseeing the preparation and development of operational and administrative plans for the rail transport sector.

• Providing technical and administrative opinions on railway projects and related infrastructure.

• Contributing to the assessment of the current state of railway networks and their technical, operational, and developmental needs.

• Studying the regulations, laws, and instructions governing the rail transport sector and proposing mechanisms for their development or harmonization.

• Contributing to the development of suitable operational and investment models for rail transport projects.

• Coordinating with technical and consulting bodies and companies specializing in the railway field.

• Supporting the preparation of preliminary studies, proposals, reports, and work plans related to rail transport projects.

• Monitoring modern technologies in the field of railways, operating systems, safety, signaling, maintenance, and network management.
