Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance on the company’s vehicles and trucks to ensure constant operational readiness; perform necessary repairs efficiently and promptly to minimize fleet downtime; and ensure the quality of supplied spare parts while overseeing maintenance work performed at external workshops to guarantee compliance with company standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Intermediate technical institute diploma (specializing in vehicle mechanics or vehicle electrical systems) or a specialized vocational training certificate.
• Candidates with extensive practical experience in the maintenance of trucks and heavy machinery (field experience) will be considered.
Required Skills:
• Practical experience in the disassembly, assembly, and repair of truck engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to diagnose basic and advanced mechanical and electrical faults.
• Good knowledge of genuine and aftermarket spare parts for trucks (e.g., Mercedes, Volvo, MAN, etc.).
• Ability to prepare simple technical reports regarding the condition of the vehicle and replaced parts.
• High level of manual dexterity in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Full commitment to occupational safety regulations and careful handling of heavy equipment.

• Perform routine maintenance (oil and filter changes, general inspections) in accordance with the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs for breakdowns, whether in the workshop or at field sites.
• Directly supervise maintenance work performed at external workshops and verify repair quality before accepting the vehicle or equipment.
• Manage spare parts procurement and inspect new parts to ensure they meet required specifications and are free from defects.
• Regularly monitor oil and fluid levels, and inspect tires and batteries for all fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Document all maintenance activities and replaced parts in the specific maintenance log for each vehicle or piece of equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the workspace, as well as the tools and equipment used for maintenance.
